Last week March 2010, While I was reading a book to Summer, she asked about the "numbers in the corners" (page numbers). I was so impressed that she knew they were numbers instead of letters to begin with, but she had noticed them in a book that Dave had read to her too! She is 2 and a half years old!

She loves leading our games, this past Sunday we played "sleep" it is now my favorite game as she wants me to lay down with a cover
and close my eyes!

Last time we were at the park, she actually held the dogs' leashes by herself for a while! That was the first time. She giggled the whole time. Good thing Nick was with us, as he had enough energy to follow her around and play on the park equipment - Swinford park.

Summer came to the Childrens' Museum, but she still had her ear infections so she wanted to be carried by her mom most of the time. Uncle Nick,Aunt Ang and Blaine came with Oma. We checked out the library first.

Summer went to the Barbie exhibit. She went backstage of the models runway and put on a dress. Then she waited her turn and walked out on the runway. Cameras were lined up on each side to take pictures of the models. She posed for the photographers.

Easter was last Sunday. Almost all the Henry's came to our house in Plainfield. The weather was wonderful and Summer had on a sleeveless dress with medium sized spring colors and a sweater with a couple of flowers on it.

She looked for eggs hidden by Uncle Nick. She got to do her favorite thing at Oma and Opa's house - going in and out. She loves the deck and yard, but likes going back inside too! She played golf that Oma and Opa had given her.

Ever since Summer was young we have read to her. At 2 and a half she owns about 60 books. In addition I was bringing a bag of 12 books each month that were new from the library.

Now, she found out that I was taking "her" books back to the library. I guess until she really understands borrowing books that we will have to swap them out while she is not watching. I figure she has read about 170 books at least once, many she wants read to her over and over again.

It was Easter time, so I got books like The Mice's Easter Egg and she looked at the new stack of books and said, where are my Fall books? So I ordered a few fall books. When I brought them over she hugged a little square book with a squirrel holding a walnut on the cover.

I don't know how to settle borrowing and returning books...
